⚠️ WIDEBAND SENSOR INSTALLATION & SAFETY
Sensor Location: For maximum longevity, the Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor must be installed in the downpipe at least 24” (60cm) from the turbocharger. Mounting too close to the exhaust housing can lead to heat-related sensor failure.
Mounting Angle: The sensor must be clocked at least 10 degrees above the horizontal plane. This prevents moisture and condensation from collecting in the sensor tip, which can crack the internal ceramic element during heat-up.
Software Configuration: Ensure the "Internal Wideband" setting is enabled in your calibration and set to Bosch LSU sensor.
Expandability & Future-Proofing
Beyond wideband control, the HT-231802 features an internal 4-bar MAP sensor and a 26-pin auxiliary expansion port. This allows for easy integration of additional safety sensors or a conversion to electronic throttle control, ensuring your RB26 is equipped with modern protection strategies.
