Haltech Flex Fuel Composition Sensor - 3/8" GM Spring Lock (HT-011000)

True Flex-Fuel Capability for Your High-Performance Build.

The Haltech Flex Fuel Sensor (HT-011000) is the essential tool for any vehicle running a varying blend of ethanol and gasoline. This sensor measures both the ethanol content (0-100%) and fuel temperature, sending a high-frequency signal back to your ECU. This allows for real-time, automatic adjustments to fuel delivery, ignition timing, and boost levels, ensuring maximum performance regardless of the fuel at the pump.

  • Dual Purpose: Monitors both Ethanol content and Fuel Temperature in one unit.
  • Fittings: Suits 3/8" GM Spring Lock style fittings.
  • Software Support: Fully compatible with Haltech Elite and Nexus software via Digital Pulsed Inputs (DPI).
  • Includes: Flex Fuel Sensor, matching 3-pin plug, and pins.
  • Part Number: HT-011000

⚠️ INSTALLATION & PLUMBING ADVICE

Plumbing Strategy: For most applications, the sensor is installed in the fuel return line. In extreme high-horsepower builds where return flow is restricted, a bypass or "Y-pipe" parallel setup is recommended to prevent the sensor from becoming a flow restriction.

Wiring Requirements: This sensor requires a +12V switched power source, a clean signal ground, and a connection to a Digital Pulsed Input (DPI) or SPI on your ECU. Reversing polarity will cause internal circuit failure.

Warranty Note: This is a precision electronic sensor supplied in sealed packaging. Returns are not accepted once the seal is broken or the sensor has been installed.

Set and Forget Tuning

Pairing the Haltech flex fuel sensor with a Haltech Elite or Nexus ECU unlocks "Flex Fuel" mode. Once calibrated, the ECU will automatically interpolate between your pump gas and E85 maps based on the sensor's reading—eliminating the need to manually switch tunes or drain your tank between track days.
