With a great history of successfully campaigning 350Zs the time has come to see what we can do with a 370Z. Initially we are running a largely stock Nissan 370Z Nismo with addition of Precision 67mm turbo and tuning on E85. Warning: While we understand we are beyond the limits of the factory components we have chosen to see what it can do. First pass out broke the 1/4 mile record at 10.40 seconds, and we have continued to whittle it down since. Most recently the Z ran 10.03 in competition at Import Face-Off in St Louis, MO. With better weather and a bit of luck we expect to see a 9 second time slip coming soon!

A couple months back, we had a client (John) reach out to us on proper EMS and nitrous tuning for his Toyota Tundra. At that time we had a good amount of these killers under our belt and had a niche market with Tundra customers domestic and abroad. John wanted a street truck that he could smack Corvettes around with, and still daily drive as he saw fit. The combination that left our building will 100% provide these requests!
The Nitty Gritty:
-6.2L Built 3UR
-IPT Transmission, truck converted to 2WD
-TRD Supercharger ~6psi (baby boost)
-Direct Port Nitrous Kit (currently utilizing as a dry kit)
-Haltech Elite 2500 Computer system with Custom Dynosty harness and installation
-Tuned by our captain and commander, Sir Hal of Powershire.
Final numbers on this combination stunned the Tundra community. We were able to squeeze 765whp and 776tq out of the truck, on a small 160 shot. We sent the truck on it’s way back to Mr. John this week, awaiting track times to remote in and turn it up! See if we can’t nab the world record for a crew cab Tundra in the 1/4 mile! Big thank you to the owner of this vehicle for his patience through the process and letting us complete the build. We had a few bumps in the road, some late nights with R&D to get the combo complete, but we are beyond satisfied with the street manners the truck has now! Can’t wait to see it tear the streets up!
This stealthy Infiniti G35 came to Dynosty with a Vortech supercharger wanting more power. We prepared a two step plan to meet the customer’s requests and budget. Phase 1 included a Dynosty built 3.5L VQ35DE engine, turbo kit, minor fuel upgrades, and suspension/wheels/tires. The result is a very solid-footed car that plants over 600 Horsepower to the ground on 93octane pump gas.
Stay tuned for Phase 2 which will include further fuel upgrades to support E85 and more power.

The past 5 years brought many changes for this Honda S2000, growing up from a bolt-on Science of Speed Supercharger setup to a 800+HP turbocharged monster! Dynosty was there for every step along the way, starting with a Dynosty Stroker Motor, supercharger upgrades, Haltech standalone engine management installation and tuning, Toyota Supra V160 6speed transmission swap, Suspension and wheel/tire upgrades, Ford rear end swap, Cylinder head upgrades, Flex-Fuel fuel system upgrade and finally Turbocharging! The end result is an absolute monster that spools well and effectively puts the power to the ground at all times. This S2000 is a joy to drive and has massive acceleration in any gear.

Some Nissan GT-Rs are destined to stay stock, while others are bought with bigger things in mind. In this case, this Black Edition R35 GT-R arrived at our facility in Louisville KY directly from the dealership for a complete build. With everything taken apart we called on our friends at Sheptrans for the best transmission package possible, and sourced an Alpha 12 turbo kit as we are an authorized Alpha reseller and installation facility. A short time later it was hitting our dyno rollers for a 1300+WHP calibration and then off to private testing. Once everything was dialed in to the owner’s liking the car proceeded to win multiple events, from Arm Drop races to Drag events at Bristol Dragway.

Dustin’s Scion FR-S received a BEAMS 3SGE engine swap just in time for TX2K15. Days before departure the turbo kit was coming together. Hours before departure it was loaded on the dyno for a full tune. A few days and 2000 miles later it was returning home from it’s successful maiden voyage from Kentucky to Houston TX.
Coming from a Toyota MR2, Dustin was very familiar with the 3S engine series. The BEAMS variant was an obvious choice for his FR-S engine swap, combining the solid cast iron inline 4 cylinder block with an improved cylinder head featuring dual cam control. Once the engine was in place planning began for the rest of the setup. A custom turbo manifold feeds a Precision Turbo 5866 billet turbo, which feeds a custom RacerX/Dynosty intake manifold. The FR-S was originally equipped with Drive By Wire, and that feature was retained and improved upon with a larger throttle body and a Haltech Elite 2500 standalone engine management system. The Haltech Elite 2500 has standalone control of the engine, and flawlessly runs the dual cam control, drive by wire, knock control and more.
The BEAMS 3SGE swapped Scion FR-S is just getting started at 330WHP on low boost and 93 octane pump gas – which would be near the limit on the stock boxer FA20 engine found in the FR-S. Check out the dyno chart and video below, and stay tuned for more updates as we increase boost, rev limiter, and setup flex fuel for E85 tuning.
In 2013 we consulted with Wade on his 1995 Toyota Supra and came up with a great high performance build package. We settled on a Dynosty built 3.0L 2JZ-GTE engine, Hypertune intake manifold, Full Race exhaust manifold and a Precision Turbo 6766 divided turbo to maximize spool and top end performance. The goal was balanced drivability and performance. Wade installed the parts and trailered the car in for the Dynosty engine break-in program and dyno tune. The package worked together perfectly, giving quick spool and 860WHP (fuel limited), and ran 179MPH in the half mile.
After a year of enjoying the Supra it returned for engine management upgrade and fuel system upgrade. With a new Haltech Elite monitoring fuel pressure, the Injector Dynamics ID1300cc injectors and Walbro fuel pumps were pushed a little harder to the tune of 900+WHP. The Haltech Elite’s traction control was then configured, allowing the mighty 2JZ to deliver maximum possible power to the ground!
Customer Testimonial: Wade H of Dallas TX, December 29, 2013: Dynosty helped me build and completely tune my 1995 Toyota Supra. Their work and product backing was phenomenal. They thoroughly answered any questions I had and walked me though the whole process of building my car and recommending the parts best suited for my needs. The business is very well structured and the shop itself is very professionally equipped and staffed! Thanks guys!

This BRZ arrived from Pennsylvania for a complete transformation – power, looks and handling were all addressed during it’s one week visit. For power, a Greddy FRS/BRZ Turbo kit and full exhaust was installed and tuned by Dynosty using EcuTek. Power improved from 148whp to 262whp, a 77% increase! To plant the power and improve handling, Bilstein suspension was installed along with new graphite grey Gram Light 57xtreme wheels and tires. The front of the car was outfitted with a Seibon carbon-fiber FRS BRZ hood and a splitter. The rear was rounded out with a new set of tail lights and a carbon fiber diffuser. The end result is a model of well-rounded modifications to improve the performance of the Subaru BRZ.
With the Chicago Half Mile looming near, we wrapped up a 2JZ-GTE build for Wade’s 1995 Toyota Supra. The built 2JZ-GTE included Manley Turbo Tuff rods, coated 10:1CR CP Pistons with upgraded pins, H11 head studs, ARP main studs, and more. As Eddie put the finishing touches on the motor, Wade was standing by with a truck to get the motor home, installed, and Supra back to us asap for tuning. A few late-nights later, the new engine was up and running. After the Dynosty engine-breakin program was completed, it was time to start cranking boost to the engine. The final result was an impressive 860WHP 722TQ on a Dynojet at 30-31psi. After driving it for a day it was loaded up and off to Chicago for the Half Mile event. Wade’s second pass in the car was a blistering 175MPH, backed up with another 175MPH and then 179MPH. Congratulations Wade on one fast car and a great job getting it together under tight time constraints.

A new Greddy 18G twin turbo kit record horsepower was set this week, 704WHP and 650WTQ at 30psi. This 2006 350Z arrived from West Virginia and started with a Greddy TD05 18G twin turbo kit. Build plans were drawn up, including a built motor, billet turbocharger wheels, fuel system and more. As performance parts were selected the power goals inched up. A Dynosty built VQ35 short block was assembled with CP Pistons and Manley turbo tuff rods, ARP main studs, ARP L19 head studs, and a Dynosty head refresh package with Kelford cams. The fuel system was upgraded with Injector Dynamics ID1300 injectors fed by a Dynosty stage 2 fuel system and CJM twin pump hanger. Haltech Pro Plugin 350Z standalone was installed along with wideband and boost control, and Hal began the engine break-in program on the dyno, followed by a full dyno tune.
Power comes on extremely fast and provides plenty of torque down low, while continuing to pull to 6500+rpm. After receiving the car and driving it for a day, the customer’s description of ‘absolutely AMAZING’ sums it up nicely.
Customer Testimonial: Aaron G of WV, October 29, 2013: Very good place to have your car. They treat every car like its their own. Very good quality and clean work. Will do anything for you to help you understand everything that’s going on and walk threw step by step on how to maintain and operate your car. Might take a little longer then your average shop but its well worth the extra time. BIG THUMBS UP
Here is a dyno pull of the twin turbo Nissan 350Z during dyno tuning when it was at 670 wheel horsepower:
Though the Porsche 911 Turbo S packs serious performance from the factory, over 500 horsepower delivered through the PDK transmission to all four wheels, there is even more available if desired. This 2011 911 (997) Turbo S came in for performance upgrades and tune and the results were very impressive, “a great bang-for-the-buck” per the owner.
Performance modifications included Tubi Exhaust, Champion Intercoolers, Diverter Valves, IPD Plenum, BMC air filters and a tune on 93octane gas. The result is a 600whp (est) all wheel drive machine. The factory Porsche launch control does a great job of bringing everything together and pinning you against the seat when it applies the clutch at 5500rpm.
After the performance upgrades were complete we met the owner at the track, where the 911 Turbo S went mid 10 seconds hot-lapped through the 1/4 mile at just over 130mph. This is undoubtedly one of the ultimate daily drivers! Youtube video below.
